With my experience as a sales trainer for an A grade insurance company, there is this one thing that I have understood people are never convinced that they may die and there is always a thing called ‘Need Creation’
With all other theories where someone is covering up for your loss, there have been elements where you can’t have people stepping into the shoes that you want them to!
Sales isn’t about convincing, sales isn’t about misleading and fake promises. Sales is about making your customers think that they are intelligent enough to be making a decision suggested by you.
Sales is about plantation of idea and nurturing it on your path, the way you plant a creeper/climber and then provide support to it in the direction that you want it to grow.
People don’t like being told what to do, it is about how will you make them think what you want them to think, how will you make them considerate about all that matters to you?
But most importantly it is very vital to understand your potential customer, just because a person has money doesn’t mean he is your customer even if he does your “Need creation” skills are the ones that are going to convert these potential customers into your real consumers .
Can need creation alone,turn your lead into your customer? No!
Sales is about personalization too, when I say personalization there is alot of questioning that goes into considering this which is termed as probing, the more you probe the more effective need creation you would come up with.
Personalize because just because a strategy worked on one person, doesn’t mean it would work on others too, when two people can have different skin types how can we expect them to all be considering same factor when buying things?
One must understand that Sales isn’t about making a customer feel that they have bought something, remember when you are a customer, you go home with a satisfaction that ‘YOU bought something and not that someone sold you something’ make most of your strategies where your cx feels the same.
Keep your staff motivated and happier. This adds lots of value to the end result take care of your cx, your cx’s would be taken care of!!!!!
